Rider Hosts Siena for MAAC Basketball Doubleheader on ESPNU Friday

Edison, N.J. - Rider University's Alumni Gymnasium will be the site for the final televised MAAC men's and women's basketball doubleheader this season on Friday, February 26. Both games will air live on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network.
The first game of the twin bill will feature a match-up between the women's programs from Siena College and Rider at 4:30 p.m. Siena, 7-9 in the MAAC, is led by junior forward Serena Moore, who is contributing 13.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, and senior guard Allie Lindemann, who is posting 11.2 points and 2.7 rebounds an outing for the Saints. Rider, 2-14 in the MAAC, is led by senior guard Amanda Sepulveda, who is averaging 11.6 points and 3.9 rebounds a night, and junior guard Cintella Spotwood, who is adding 10.7 points and 4.8 rebounds a game for the Broncs. Freshman Caitlin Bopp is currently third in the nation among rookies with 10.1 rebounds per game and also contributes 8.5 points per contest. She has been named MAAC Rookie of the Week five times this season.
Game two has the Saints taking on the Broncs for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off. Siena, 15-1 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Alex Franklin, who is registering 16.0 points and 7.7 rebounds a night, and senior guard/forward Edwin Ubiles, who is contributing 14.7 points and 3.5 caroms a night for the Saints. Rider, 8-8 in the MAAC, is led by senior guard Ryan Thompson, who is averaging 17.1 points and 5.1 rebounds an outing, and junior guard Justin Thompson, who is registering 13.2 points and 3.5 rebounds a night for the Broncs.
