McKenzie averaged
a double-double with 20.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in two games at Marist and
Manhattan, helping Loyola to a 1-1 weekend. McKenzie shot 50-percent from the
floor, 75-percent from the free-throw line, and averaged 3.0 steals and 3.0
assists. The Columbia, Md., native started the weekend with a 16-point,
12-rebound performance at first-place Marist on ESPNU on Friday night, scoring
12 points in the second half. She followed that with a career-high 25 points
while grabbing 10 rebounds and connecting on 11-of-20 from the field in a road
win over Manhattan. The senior has been in double figures in six-straight games
with three double-doubles during that stretch.

Aleesha Powell helped the Gaels to a 2-0 MAAC record this week, averaging 14.5
points, shooting 50% (8-16) from the field, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per
outing. Against Saint Peter's, Powell posted 14 points, six boards and
two steals, shooting 4-9 from the field and 5-6 from the charity stripe.
Against Canisius, Powell ignited the Gaels in a win over the Golden Griffins
with 15 points, four rebounds and three steals. She shot 4-7 from the
field and 6-7 from the free throw line.
