Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - The top seeded Siena College Saints will face the third seeded Canisius College Golden Griffins in the 2012 Men's Lacrosse Championship game on the campus of Marist College at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

The two schools have never met in the championship game.  Siena has been a participant in the past three championship games, winning two of them including last year's title.  Canisius is returning to the championship game for the first time since 2008 when they won the MAAC title.

Siena finished the regular season undefeated in MAAC play going 6-0. The Saints defeated the fourth seeded Marist Red Foxes 11-9 in their semifinal game. This will be their second consecutive trip to the championship game.

Canisius, seeded third in the tournament, defeated second seeded Detroit 12-10 in their semifinal match-up. The Golden Griffins are seeking their second title in school history.

The winner of the championship will receive the MAAC's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship.
