2013 MAAC Wild Card Games Selected by ESPN

Edison, N.J. - ESPN has chosen the two MAAC men's basketball matchups that will be televised on Friday, Mar. 1.
The ESPN2 telecast will feature Loyola University Maryland (16-8, 8-4 MAAC) at Iona College (14-9, 8-4 MAAC). Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the Hynes Center in New Rochelle, N.Y. In the first meeting between the two schools on Jan. 27, Iona earned a 79-71 victory over Loyola at Reitz Arena. Lamont Jones led the way with 23 points and David Laury scored 10 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Gaels. Dylon Cormier led the Greyhounds with 18 points.
Fairfield University (14-10, 6-6 MAAC) will take on host Manhattan College (7-15, 5-7 MAAC) at Draddy Gymnasium at 9:00 p.m. on ESPNU. The Stags are set to host the Jaspers prior to this televised contest on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 1:30 p.m. at Webster Bank Arena.
Ten of the 18 games at the 2013 MAAC Basketball Championships are set to air on one of the ESPN platforms during the annual joint championships, which will be hosted for the second consecutive year at the neutral site MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass. from March 7-11, 2013.
