Dylon Cormier, Loyola, Jr., G, 6-2, 172, Baltimore, Md./Cardinal Gibbons H.S.
Cormier led the Greyhounds to a pair of victories over the weekend, including a 68-64 win over Canisius on Thursday night in a battle for second place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The junior guard averaged 20.5 points, 4.0 steals, 2.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game for the Greyhounds. He shot 92.9-percent from the free-throw line in the games, making all but one of his 14 attempts from the charity stripe. On Thursday against the Golden Griffins, Cormier scored 17 points, dished out three assists and had three steals. He followed that performance with a 24-point outburst on Saturday night at Siena, making 9-of-10 at the line against the Saints. His 24 points led all scorers, and he recorded a game-best five steals.
Rookie of the Week
Zedric Sadler, Rider, Fr., G, 6-2, 190, Detroit, Mich./Cody
Coming off the bench playing 29 minutes per game in two MAAC wins, Sadler averaged 12.5 points and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 64% from the field and 70% from 3-point range. He made a three-pointer with 2:00 left to give Rider a 65-59 lead in a 67-63 win over Marist. Sadler scored a career-high 16 points in win over Saint Peter's.
