Marist Hosts Fairfield for Sunday Finale on ESPN3

Edison, N.J. - The final MAAC regular season men's basketball game to be televised this season will be between Fairfield University and Marist College on Sunday, March 3 from the McCann arena. The National MAAC Game of the Week will air live at 2 p.m. on ESPN3.

Fairfield, 17-13 overall and 9-8 in the MAAC, is led by senior guard Derek Needham, who is averaging 14.5 points and 3.2 assists per game, as well as junior forward Maurice Barrow, who is contributing 8.8 points and 4.0 rebounds an outing for the Stags.

Marist, 9-20 overall and 5-12 in the MAAC, is led by sophomore guard/forward Chavaughn Lewis, who is contributing 16.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, and senior guard Devin Price, who is posting 14.4 points and 2.4 rebounds an outing for the Red Foxes.

In their first meeting on Jan. 24, Josip Mikulic netted 16 points and Fairfield shot nearly 60 percent from the field as the Stags defeated Marist, 71-37. Fairfield knocked down 59.2 percent (29 of 49) from the field and 11 of 22 from 3-point range. Mikulic hit 6 of 10 from the field and 4 of 7 from 3-point range, and Desmond Wade scored 13 points for Fairfield. Marist was paced by Anell Alexis' 10 points.
