MAAC BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP INDIVIDUAL SESSION PASSES ON SALE FEBRUARY 8

Tournament returns to Times Union Center in Albany, NY, March 3-7
ALBANY, NY; February 4, 2015 – Individual session passes to the 2016 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship, March 3-7 at Times Union Center in Albany, NY, will go on sale Monday, February 8 at 10 a.m.
Individual session passes grant pass holders access to one of 10 sessions during the tournament including the men’s and women’s championships, which are designated as individual sessions. The popular basketball tournament featuring Canisius, Fairfield, Iona, Manhattan, Marist, Monmouth, Niagara, Quinnipiac, Rider, Siena and St. Peter’s will return to Times Union Center for the 17th time.
“We’re thrilled to offer individual session passes for fans of MAAC basketball who attend the men’s and women’s tournament,” said MAAC Commissioner Richard Ensor. “Individual session passes allow pass holders to experience various stages of the MAAC Basketball Championship from the opening round through the championship games.”
Individual session passes for men’s basketball are $18.50, $25, $37.50 and $50. Individual session passes for women’s basketball are $18.50, $25, $30. There are also $8 student individual session passes for men’s and women’s games.
Fans who purchase individual session tickets to the men’s quarterfinal round on Friday, March 4 may also want to take note of the pre-game festivities to celebrate the return of the MAAC tournament to Albany: the Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest featuring homemade mac-n-cheese from area restaurants and various craft beer options from throughout New York. The Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest will take place prior to the men’s quarterfinals session from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 90 State within convenient walking distance from the Times Union Center. Sampling tickets will be available at the door: $10 for 10 or are available for purchase at a discount online at Albany.org. The Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest is hosted by the Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

All-session passes are also available for purchase. In addition, Flex tickets for individual sessions or for use during multiple rounds of the tournament are available for the first time in MAAC tournament history.
