MAAC Announces 2017 Women’s Basketball All-Academic Team

ALBANY, NY - A total of 52 student-athletes comprise the 2017 MAAC Women’s Basketball All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Canisius College and Quinnipiac University led all schools with seven student-athletes each. Fairfield University and Niagara University each added six, while Marist College, Rider University, and Saint Peter’s University added five. Iona College and Siena College each added four student-athletes. Rounding out this year’s all-academic team is Manhattan College with one student-athlete.
