Three MAAC Schools Named to WBCA Academic Honor Roll

Edison, NJ - Manhattan College, Niagara University, and Canisius College were named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Honor Roll announced Monday afternoon.

The Lady Jaspers ranked eighth with a team grade point average of 3.430 for the 2007-08 academic year. Niagara was 13th with a team GPA of 3.361, while Canisius was tied for 18th with a 3.326 GPA.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 awards, given in NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA and Junior College/Community College, recognizes teams throughout the nation that carry the highest grade point averages for the entire season based on the nomination submitted by WBCA-member head coaches.
