Field Set for 2010 Chick-fil-A MAAC Men's Soccer Championship

Edison, N.J. - The field is set for the 2010 Chick-fil-A MAAC Men's Soccer Championship, which will take place on November 12 and 14 at the Ridley Athletic Complex on the campus of Loyola University Maryland.
The first semifinal on Friday, November 12 will be between second-seeded Siena College and third-seeded Iona College at 3:00 p.m. In their regular season matchup on October 17, the Gaels claimed a 2-0 victory over the Saints in New Rochelle, N.Y. Senior Rob Hernandez-Raaen headed in the ball in the 21st minute off a cross from Mario Rios. Julian Grajales recorded his first goal of the year in the 64th minute to help seal the win. Jesse Fullerton made two saves in the shutout for Iona, while Siena's Phil Chabot recorded five saves.
The second semifinal will feature top-seeded Saint Peter's College against fourth-seeded Loyola. On October 10, the Peacocks and the Greyhounds played to a 1-1 draw in Baltimore, Md. Saint Peter's Lebogang Pila scored the first goal at the 30th minute, converting a shot into the right side of the net. Loyola's Diego McQuestion tied things up in the 58th minute, knocking in his first collegiate goal. Kyle Wittman finished the match with three saves for the Greyhounds, and Carlos Suarez posted two saves between the pipes for the Peacocks.
The championship final will take place on Sunday, November 14 at 1:00 p.m. The winner of that match will receive the league's automatic bid to the 2010 NCAA® Men's College Cup.
