Drew Peterson, Rider Men's Swimming and Diving
Fr. Fly/Free/IM / Boulder City, NV

Peterson, out of Boulder City, Nevada, swam 4:27.99 in the 400 long course IM at the 2011 Speedo Junior National Championships. Hosted by Stanford University, he qualified for the 2012 United States Olympic Trials Meet to be held in June, 2012. Peterson swam in the 'C' final and finished almost three seconds ahead of the 4:30.49 cut time, placing 12th overall after swimming 4:32.09 in the preliminaries. Peterson also swam in the 100 fly, 200 free and 200 IM at the competition that took place August 8-12. A three-time First Team All-State and All-Region honoree and member of the National Honor Society at Boulder City High School, Peterson joins the Broncs as a member of the Class of 2015 and will major in Finance.

 

Molly O'Shea, Iona Women's Volleyball
Sr., MB, 6-1, San Francisco, CA

Senior middle blocker Molly O'Shea, from San Francisco, CA, has returned to the Gael lineup after missing the 2010 campaign to help to Iona to two early season wins over Navy and Kent State.  She has recorded 20 kills for the Gaels this season as well as three aces, ten digs, and eight total blocks.  O'Shea is one of five Iona athletes to start in all five matches and has played in every set to date.
