Jonathan
McDonald, Canisius Men's Cross Country

As one of three senior Golden Griffins on the men's cross country team,
Jonathan McDonald recorded a top-10 finish at the Duquesne Duals on Sept. 3.
Competing in a field of 255 runners at the National Catholic Championship,
McDonald recorded a time of 26:16 to finish 85th overall. In both races this
season, the senior has finished among the Griffs' top-five runners. At the
Little Three Championships, McDonald has recorded a top-five finish in two of
the past three races, helping the men's team capture five-straight titles. A
two-time MAAC All-Academic Team member, McDonald holds a 3.48 GPA in
accounting.
Joanna
Foss - Marist Volleyball
Sr.,
Left Side Hitter - Northville, Mich.
A fifth-year
senior, Foss is making a successful comeback from an injury which kept her off
the court last season. She has started all 14 of the Red Foxes' matches this
season, and is second on the team in kills per set (3.06) and third in digs per
set (2.33). Foss was a Second Team All-MAAC selection in 2008, and has excelled
in the classroom as well. She is a three-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection,
and was named CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Second Team Academic All-District in
2009. She also earned the President's Academic Achievement Award for having the
highest GPA of any Marist female student-athlete at the school's Senior Awards
Banquet this past spring.
