Wilkens, Jangsten chosen as XC Runners of the Week

Edison, NJ - Manhattan's
Billy Wilkens and Maria Jangsten were selected as the MAAC Men's and Women's
Runner of the week, respectively.
Wilkens led Manhattan to a fifth-place finish at the
Metropolitan Championships on Friday afternoon.
He placed 35th in a field of 141 runners, completing the 8K
course in 27:04.
Jangsten paced the Jaspers with a 32nd place
finish at the Metropolitan Championships on Friday, posting a time of 19:39
over the 5K course at Van Cortlandt Park.
Overall, Manhattan finished seventh as a team.
The 2011 MAAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships will be held
on October 28th at Van Cortlandt Park in Riverdale, New York.
