Commissoner Ensor's Remarks Regarding NCAA Ruling

Below is a statement from Rich Ensor, Commissioner of the MAAC, regarding the NCAA ruling by the Division I Board of Directors to give student-athletes who receive full athletics scholarships the opportunity to receive additional athletics aid up to the full cost of attendance or $2,000, whichever is less.
"The MAAC has historically supported the academic reform efforts of the NCAA and does with the current effort lead by Mark Emmert and the DI board. The new standards pose challenges for some schools, but the league will benefit as a whole as the NCAA institutes regulations consistent with the MAAC's mission of excellence in academics and athletics."
