Lake Buena Vista, Fla. - Niagara University senior forward Carl Haworth was chosen as the 2011 MAAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year by the league's head coaches and headlines this season's All-MAAC First Team. The awards banquet was held at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom park.

Haworth, now a two-time All-MAAC first team selection from Barrie, Ontario, Canada, earned the honor after leading the conference with 32 points (1.88 per game) from 12 goals and eight assists. His goals were also tops in the MAAC and the eight assists placed him second on the league chart. Haworth was named the MAAC Rookie of the Year in 2008.

Fairfield University's Michael O'Keeffe, a junior goalkeeper from Christchurch, New Zealand, was voted as the 2011 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year. In conference play, he finished second in goals against average (0.84) and third in save percentage (.778). O'Keeffe has been a first team All-MAAC selection in all three seasons at Fairfield.

Fairfield's Jordan Ayris was selected as the 2011 MAAC Rookie of the Year following an outstanding freshman campaign which has seen him register nine goals and four assists for 22 points. Ayris was even better in league play, leading the MAAC with 16 points and six goals.

O'Keeffe anchors the All-MAAC First Team as its goalkeeper. Teammate Jonny Raj is part of the backline along with Iona's Robbie Krohmer, and Loyola's Gerwyn Jones. Haworth leads the midfield three with Iona's Franklin Castellanos, and Marist's Krystian Witkowski. Ayris is part of the first team with teammate Jon Clements, Iona's Samuel Adjei and Angser Otto, Loyola's Stephen Dooley, and Marist's Stephan Brossard.

The All-MAAC Second Team features Siena goalkeeper Jack Binks and defenders Jack Cleverley of Fairfield, Alex Abdalla of Iona, Jamie Libby of Loyola, and Jannis Opalka from Siena. The midfield is made up of Fairfield's Dan Shaw, Iona's Alvaro Torrecilla, Loyola's Geaton Caltabiano, Saint Peter's Harry Newman, and Siena's Sindre Ek. The trio of Fairfield's Jack Burridge, Iona's Ignacio Maganto, and Saint Peter's Noah Sadaoui make up the forward line.

The All-Rookie team is led by Ayris, Maganto and Sadaoui at forward. The midfield features Fairfield's Hrvoje Glavan, Loyola's Connor Thompson, and Siena's Nathan Olukanmi.
