Jay Bowie, Marist Men's Basketball

Bowie continues to be a consistent
presence in the Red Foxes' everyday lineup as he has made 49 consecutive starts
in his first one and a half years of play in Poughkeepsie. This season as the
team's starting small forward, he has registered the highest field goal
percentage with a conversion rate of 48.6 percent. Bowie is also the squad's
third-leading rebounder with 3.4 per game. Offensively, he averages 5.7 points
per contest for Marist. Bowie also excels in the classroom where he is majoring
in Business/Human Resources.
Allison Braun, Canisius Women's Basketball
Jr., Guard - Erie,
Pa.
Allison Braun is a junior on the Canisius College women's basketball team and
is in her first season as captain. Braun has started all 13 games for the
Golden Griffins this season, scoring a season-high 10 points at Marist on Jan.
4. A member of the 2011 MAAC All-Academic Team, Braun served as the athletic
department's female student-athlete representative at the MAAC'S SAAC event in
April 2011. She also participated in an international service-immersion
experience with the Canisius College campus ministry department during the
summer.
