MAAC Basketball Doubleheader on Saturday on ESPN3

Edison, N.J. - Manhattan College's Draddy Gymnasium will be the site for the next MAAC men's and women's basketball doubleheader to be broadcasted this season on Saturday, February 4. Both National MAAC Games of the Week will air live on ESPN3.
The first game of the twin bill will feature a match-up between the women's programs from Marist College and Manhattan at 4:30 p.m. Marist, 15-6 overall and 10-0 in the MAAC, is led by senior guard Corielle Yarde, who is registering 14.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, and senior forward Brandy Gang, who is averaging 14.3 points and 7.0 caroms a night for the Red Foxes. Manhattan, 11-11 overall and 5-5 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Lindsey Loutzsenhizer, who is contributing 12.4 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, and sophomore guard/forward Monica Roeder, who is posting 10.6 points and 3.6 rebounds an outing for the Lady Jaspers.
Game two features a local rivalry that dates back to the start of the MAAC over three decades ago. The men's teams from Iona College and Manhattan will face each other in a battle for first place in the league standings, tipping off at 7:00 p.m. Iona, 18-5 overall and 10-2 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Mike Glover, who is averaging a league-best 18.5 points and 9.1 rebounds per game, as well as junior guard Lamont Jones, who is contributing 16.1 points and 3.3 rebounds an outing for the Gaels. Manhattan, 17-7 overall and 10-2 in the MAAC, is led by junior guard/forward George Beamon, who is averaging 17.4 points and 5.5 rebounds an outing, and freshman forward Emmy Andujar, who is netting 8.5 points and grabbing 5.1 rebounds a night for the Jaspers.
