Patrick McCormick, Loyola Men's Golf

At last week's
Snowman Getaway, hosted by Washington State in Goodyear, Ariz., Patrick
McCormick finished tied for 56th overall after carding a 231. An international
business and finance major, McCormick finished third on the team, helping
Loyola to a 10th-place finish overall. McCormick posted an
opening-round score of 1-over 73, before facing windy conditions through the
second two rounds. In his second trip through the course, McCormick carded a 78
before finishing the final round with an 80. Throughout the three
fall tournaments he participated in, McCormick finished third on the team with
a 73.78 stroke average. He was under par through two rounds and finished second
on the team at the Hartford Hawks Invitational.
Lauren Morris, Saint Peter's Women's
Basketball
Sr., Forward -Newark, NJ
Morris led the Peahens to a first round 62-57 victory over eighth seeded
Canisius College last Thursday by tying for the team lead in points with 13.
Her three pointer in the last few minutes of the game gave Saint Peter's their
first lead since the fifteenth minute of the second half, and established an
advantage they would never relinquish. In the Quarterfinals against Marist, the
Newark, NJ native led the squad with 15 points. A Fine Arts major graduating in
May, she was also named to the 2012 Women's Basketball MAAC All-Academic team
last week.
