Brian McGovern, Manhattan Men's

McGovern set
a school- and Irish under-23 national record in the pole vault at the Armory
Collegiate Challenge on Feb. 23. He
cleared 5.22 meters (17 feet, 1½ inches) to break his own mark of 5.15 m
(16'10¾), which he set while winning the 2011 IC4A indoor title. A three-time MAAC indoor and two-time MAAC
outdoor champion in the event, McGovern has also qualified for the NCAA East
Regional in each of the past two seasons.
In addition, he has competed internationally for Ireland, wearing the
national colors at the 2011 European Team Championships in Izmir, Turkey.
Deirdre McQuillan, Siena Women's

McQuillan
has been the model citizen both on and off the field. Athletically, she has
been one of the top performers in program history. As of Mar. 12 she ranks
fifth in program history with 123 career points and her 40 assists are fourth
most. Last season she led the Saints with 44 points and was named to the
All-MAAC Tournament Team. Academically, McQuillan has maintained a solid 3.44
GPA as an education major. Last semester she posted a perfect 4.0 GPA and has
previously been named a MAAC All-Academic Team selection.
