Matt Himmelsbach,
Marist Men's Tennis
Sr. - Longmeadow, Mass.
A three-time All-MAAC First team honoree and 2011 MAAC Tournament Most
Outstanding Performer, Himmelsbach continues to lead the
Red Foxes with his consistent play and leadership in his senior season. Earlier
this spring season on February 28, he was recognized as the MAAC Player of the
Week. Coming into his final year of competition, he had posted a 71-21 record
in singles play. Himmelsbach also excels in the in classroom, earning spots on
the 2010 and 2011 MAAC All-Academic Teams, as well as the ITA All-Academic
Teams. He is majoring in Business Administration.
Lauryn Chris, Canisius Softball
Sr. - Gilroy, Calif
Entering her final season, senior Lauryn Chris currently leads the Canisius
College softball team with a .310 batting average. Chris has started in 17 of
19 games she has appeared in primarily as the team's designated player.
This season, the senior has collected 13 hits, including a triple to go with
four runs scored and two RBIs. In addition, she is currently 3-for-4 in stolen
base chances. Holding a 3.83 overall GPA, the biology major has earned MAAC
All-Academic Team honors twice in her career. She also serves as a member of
the Canisius SAAC committee.
