Offensive Player of the Week


Cecilia Leonard, Iona
Sr., UT, 5-9, Plantation, Fla./South Plantation

Leonard had a stellar week during the Gaels long road trip in California, accruing 24 points in seven games. At the Lancer Invite, she guided Iona to a 3-1 record, including a three goal, seven assist performance in a win against Azusa Pacific. Leonard's 12 goals overall for the week proved to be difference-makers in close wins over Redlands and Pomona. She also had 15 steals for the week, including five vs. Azusa.

Defensive Player of the Week

Jr., G, 5-11, Abington, Pa./Germantown Academy

Laura Karbach amassed a total of 41 saves for the Seahawks during the West Coast spring break trip.  The junior goalkeeper recorded a high of nine saves in both the victory over No. 12 Cal State Northridge and No. 11 Indiana, eight saves in the wins against both No. 14 Hawaii and Pacific, and seven in the win over Cal State San Bernardino.  The Keystone State native also held Cal State Northridge to only four goals while keeping Hawaii out of the winner's circle allowing only six.  Finishing the weekend with an impressive save percentage of 0.569, Karbach's GAA of 6.20 marks her career-best.  Karbach also notched on three assists and six steals.


Rookie of the Week


Alison Hamby, Marist
Fr., 2mD, Sacramento, Calif./Granite Bay

Hamby was one of the Red Foxes' leader on offense this past week, scoring seven goals and assisting on four others for 11 total points in Marist's six games, leading them to 4-2 record. She had four points on a hat trick and an assist against 11th-ranked Indiana. She followed that up with a three-point performance against Claremont, scoring one goal and handing out two assists. She also played big on defense, making four thefts and adding a field block.
