TRENTON, NJ – The NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Committee has announced the selections for the first- and second-round, as well as the regional sites for the 2013 tournament. Global Spectrum, operators of the Sun National Bank Center, is proud to announce that the Trenton, NJ venue has been chosen to host the 2013 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Trenton Regional.
"Mercer County is excited about the return of the 2013 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship to our great county, and we welcome players, fans and families to discover the treasures we have to offer. I am so pleased the Mercer County Sports and Entertainment Commission and Sun National Bank Center have continued their great partnership with Rider University and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference to bring events such as the NCAA tournaments to our Capital City,” added Brian Hughes, Mercer County Executive.
Hosted by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and Rider University, this marks the second time since 2009 that the Sun National Bank Center will be a regional site for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.
“The MAAC and Rider University are excited to have the NCAA Women’s Basketball Regionals back in Trenton and Mercer County,” said MAAC Commissioner Richard J. Ensor. “We are happy to host the NCAA and the teams traveling in competing for a spot in the Final Four. The MAAC is looking forward to continuing its partnership with Mercer County and is pleased that the NCAA has rewarded us with this opportunity once again.”

All-Session tickets will go on sale on April 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. Single Day tickets will go on sale at a to-be-determined date. Purchasers must provide an email address at time of purchase as tickets will be reserved in your name but will not be printed until after January 1, 2013. The Sun National Bank Center Box Office will send an email after January 1, 2013 with more information on how to acquire hard tickets.
The regional sites will play host to games either March 30 and April 1 or March 31 and April 2, 2013 (dates to be determined June 2012).

The Sun National Bank Center hosted the NCAA Tournament three times since its opening in 1999 with the first- and second-rounds in 2006 and the Northeast regional in 2009.
