Field Set for 2012 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship

Edison, NJ - The 2012
Men's Lacrosse Championship will be held on Friday, May 4 and Sunday, May 6
at Tenney Stadium in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on the campus of Marist College.
The first semifinal
matchup is on Friday, April 27 and features the second seeded Detroit Titans
and the third seeded Canisius Golden Griffins at 4:30 p.m. Detroit won the
regular season matchup with a score of 17-12.
Both Detroit and Canisius finish their regular seasons 3-3 in the MAAC.
The second semifinal
matchup will be between the first seeded Siena Saints and the fourth seeded
Marist Red Foxes at 7:30 p.m. Siena won the championship last year and went
undefeated in the conference regular season which clinched them the 2012
regular season title. On April 21, the
Saints beat the Red Foxes with a final score of 20-8.
The championship game
will take place on Sunday, May 6 at noon.
The winner of the championship will receive the MAAC's automatic bid to
the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship.

broadcast of the championship awards banquet on MAAC.TV
on Thursday, May 3. The event will begin
at 7:45 p.m. The broadcast of the banquet is available free of charge.
All three Men's Lacrosse
Championship games will be available to watch on MAAC.TV as well.
