Marist Takes Third Place in MAAC Water Polo

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - Second-seeded Marist College earned a 14-7 victory over fourth-seeded Villanova University in the consolation game of the 2012 MAAC Women's Water Polo Championship, held at Marist's McCann Natatorium.
Seniors Jaclyn Puccino and Kelly Kline led the Red Foxes with three goals apiece. Alison Hamby, Jessica Hamby and Hannah Levien each added two goals. Robyn Crabtree and Anna-Lena Hathaway registered one goal apiece for Marist.
Freshman Callan Edwards paced the Wildcats with three goals, while juniors Julia Penkal and Emily Ryan recorded two goals each.
