Siena Beats Marist, Will Play Canisius in the Championship

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - The first seeded Siena College Saints defeated the fourth seeded Marist College Red Foxes 11-9 in the second semifinal game of the 2012 Men's Lacrosse Championship at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

The Saints trailing the Red Foxes 4-6 going into the half but scored two goals within 2:56 of the third quarter to tie the game and took the lead with 3:16 left in the third and kept it from that point forward. The Siena offense was led by sophomore attack Colin Clive with four goals. The 2012 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year Tom Morr headed the Siena defense in goal with nine saves and three groundballs for the night.

The Red Foxes had seven of their players score for them throughout the game and were led by junior midfielder Aedan Herman who had two goals on the night. Sophomore goalkeeper Craig Goodermote had 12 saves in the game for the Red Foxes.
