Saint Peter's College Associate Director of Athletics for Communications, Dan Drutz, was appointed to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida) Board of Directors in June at the organization's annual workshop. Drutz will serve a three year term on the board as an at-large representative. He is the first person in Saint Peter's College and MAAC history to be named to the Board of Directors of CoSida.
"I am extremely excited to serve on the CoSida Board of Directors," said Drutz. "It has always been a professional goal of mine to serve the organization and with CoSida joining forces with NACDA beginning in 2013 there isn't a better time to be one of CoSida's leaders."
Drutz has been an active member of CoSida since joining the organization in 2000. He has been a member of the program committee for 12 years and was named the the organization's University Division Rising Star Award winner at the 2010 workshop.
Drutz is about to start his eighth year at Saint Peter's College directing the department's communications, marketing and development efforts. He was the communications contact for the men's basketball team's run to the 2011 MAAC Championship and the communications contact for a men's soccer MAAC Championship and two NCAA Tourmament appearances.
