Offensive Player of the Week
Shannon Fay, Fairfield, Jr., F, 5-9, Sayville, N.Y./St. John The Baptist
Fay had her first collegiate multi-goal game on Sunday, as she tallied both of Fairfield's goals in an overtime win at Holy Cross. She put home the game-winning tally 45 seconds into the second overtime period, netting a pass from Erin Pettersen. Fay's first goal, her first of the year, came in the 29th minute, collecting a rebound and giving the Stags a 1-0 lead.
Defensive Player of the Week
Kathleen Early, Fairfield, So., GK, 5-8, Rockville Centre, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial
Early collected her first collegiate shutout in the Stags' double overtime draw with Wagner on Friday night. She made four total saves in the 110 minutes in goal, with three stops coming after intermission. Perhaps the biggest save of the day came in the 67th minute as she corralled a rising line drive of a shot above her head.
Rookie of the Week
Veronica Saez, Fairfield, R-Fr., GK, 5-10, Bainbridge Island, Wash./Bainbridge
Saez earned her second collegiate win with a seven-save effort at Holy Cross. She played all 100:45 and didn't give up a goal over the last 70 minutes of play. Saez made four first-half saves in the victory and stopped the one shot she faced in overtime.
