Connor Kelley - Fairfield University
Men's Cross Country, So., Bristol, Conn./Bristol Central
Connor Kelley turned in the highest finish by a Stag at the MAAC Championships in more than a decade with his performance on October 27 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Kelley ran a time of 25:14.37 in the men's 8K to place 13th overall and turn in the highest finish by a Stag since 1996. In addition, Kelley earned a spot on the MAAC All-Academic Team. The history and politics major maintains a 3.70 GPA.
Kari Honomichl - Niagara University
Volleyball, Sr., OH, 6-0, Petersburg, Mich./Ida
Senior Kari Honomichl is having an All-MAAC season for the Purple Eagles. Honomichl, who was named the 2011 MAAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player, is on pace to set career-highs in kills, aces and digs in a season. She became Niagara's all-time leader in career aces (152) this season and ranks among the nation's best in aces per set. Honomichl is currently in third place in program history in kills (1,402). Honomichl is a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team member and earned the Academic Momentum Award from the National Consortium for Academics and Sports (NCAS) in December 2011. Honomichl will graduate with a degree in communications this spring and plans on a career in event management.
