Caitlin Bopp, Rider, 6-2, Sr., Forward/Center Baltimore, Md./Inst. of Notre Dame
Bopp continued her strong play,
scoring 20 points as Rider defeated Army 66-60 this past week, shooting 8-11 in
the game. Bopp finished one off her career-high and added eight rebounds, three
blocks and a steal in 30 minutes of play. Trailing by 10 early in the opening
half, Bopp helped key a 20-0 run with five points.
Co-Rookies of the Week
Shayna Ericksen, Manhattan, 6-0, Fr., Forward, Hackettstown,
N.Y./West Morris Central
Ericksen averaged a double-double last week,
pouring in 12.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in games against Army and
Oakland. In the Jaspers' loss to Army on
Tuesday night, she recorded her second double-double of the season, posting
career-highs with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Ericksen also had three blocks and two steals, and she shot .636
(7-for-11) from the field in the contest.
She then tallied eight points and eight boards in Manhattan's 47-43 win
over Oakland on Saturday. Ericksen added
a career-high four blocks, including three in a 65-second span early in the
second half, and four steals in the victory.
Joy
Adams, Iona, 5-11 Fr., Forward Orlando, FL / Evans
Forward Joy Adams posted back-to-back double-doubles this week for
the Gaels. Against Bryant, Adams led the Gaels with 13 points, including
seven from the line, and 16 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass while
also contributing one block and two assists. In the Gaels' win over Columbia,
Adams went 6-for-13 from the field, scoring 12 points to go along with 14
boards and three blocks.
