MAAC Announces 2013 Water Polo All-MAAC Team

Iona College's Amy Olsen has been named the 2013 MAAC Water Polo Offensive Player of the Year, while Marist College's Rebecca Thomas earned Defensive Player of the Year honors to headline the 2013 Water Polo All-MAAC Teams, as voted by the league's head coaches.
Additionally, Wagner College Jess Lundgren earned Rookie of the Year honors, and Chris Radmonovich, Wagner’s head coach, was selected as the 2013 Anaconda Sports MAAC Coach of the Year.
Olsen, a senior from Baytown, Texas, led the MAAC in goals scored per game this season, with a 3.50 gpg and second in goals with 91 goals on the season. She steered Iona to an overall record of 18-9 and a 10-2 mark in the MAAC en route to earning the second seed in this year's championship.
Thomas, a junior goalkeeper from Cape Town, South Africa ranked third in saves this season, and averaged 7.79 stops per contest and 257 overall. She helped anchor the Red Foxes earn a third seed in the MAAC Water Polo Championship. She was chosen as Defensive Player of the Week three times this year.
Lundgren, a freshman from Queensland, Australia, netted 59 goals and assisted on 34 more for the Seahawks this season. She led Wagner in steals with 115 and also in blocks with 9 blocks on the season. She finished in the top 10 in scoring and also was chosen as Rookie of the Week two times this year.
Radmonovich, in his 3rd season as the head coach the Seahawks program, led his squad to an overall record of 18-9, including a 10-2 mark in the MAAC, en route to earning the top seed in the 2013 MAAC Women's Water Polo Championship.
