MAAC ROLLS OUT INNOVATIVE MOBILE GAME - MAAC CAMPUS SPLASH

EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has announced that it has launched a new mobile game called MAAC Campus Splash, in an effort open a new revenue stream and increase fan engagement.

The game, which can currently be downloaded on all Apple devices on the App Store by searching for "campus splash," is a rivalry game, where the object is to paint your rival’s campus in your school colors, a la the popular white-out, red-out, etc. days.  Dozens of objects can be launched at the opposing campus, which can hit balloons or the buildings themselves to release paint.  Players can earn prizes as they look to put their names on the leaderboard.

“We are excited to add a cutting edge mobile game to our marketing portfolio,” said Richard Ensor, MAAC Commissioner.  “We feel that the mobile game space is a great platform to increase our engagement with our students, alumni, and fans, while tapping an entirely new revenue stream.”

The MAAC Splash app, which should also be available on the Android platform in the coming weeks, was developed by Juno Labs, LLC, the inaugural game in their Campus Splash series.   The game’s monetization is based on methodology involving micro-transactions, sponsorship and branding.
