Morrison and MacFarlane Take Home Runner of the Week Honors

EDISON, N.J. - Marist College’s Steven Morrison was named the MAAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, while Siena College’s Christie MacFarlane earned the MAAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the week.
Morrison led the way for the Red Foxes placing 30th at the Wolfie Invitational on September 13th, and helped Marist to a fourth place finish over host Stony Brook. Morrison’s time of 26:15.30 was better than any Marist runner last year at the Invitational.
MacFarlane ran the fastest 5K time in program history at Saturday’s Renesselaer Invitational. MacFarlane completed the 5K course in a time of 18:14 to finish 20th overall and break the previous program record fastest 5K time set by Laura Russell in 1986 (18:23). MacFarlane ran at a 5:52 mile pace.
The 2014 MAAC Cross Country Championships will be held on Friday, October 31st at Holmdel Park, Holmdel N.J.
