Quinnipiac University Crowned 2016 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Champions

HAMDEN, CT - With a 13-9 defeat of second seeded Marist College, Quinnipiac University won its first ever MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship. The Bobcats are headed to its first ever NCAA Tournament and finished the season with an 11-3 overall record.
Drew D’Antonio led all players with 4 goals in this championship final. The 2016 MAAC Most Outstanding Player is Jack Brust. Brust recorded 13 saves, posting a .591 save percentage. Brian Feldman, Foster Cuomo and Ryan Keenan all scored two goals each.
Marist College was led by the 2016 MAAC Men’ Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year Joseph Radin and John Vigh. They both posted hat tricks in the defeat. Marist rallied back from being down 6-1 early in the first quarter and would make it a one goal game, with the score 7-6 at the 6:04 mark of the second quarter. The Bobcats responded by outscoring the Red Foxes 5-3 in the second half to hoist the championship trophy.
