MAAC Announces 2004 New York Lottery Women's Soccer All-Academic Team

EDISON, NJ - A total of 54 athletes comprise the 2004 New York Lottery MAAC Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Marist College led all schools with 13 members named to the team. Canisius College, Loyola College, Manhattan College and Siena College all had nine student-athletes. Fairfield University had five athletes named to the team, while Saint Peter's added four players. Niagara University and Rider University both had three members named to the team, and Iona College rounded out the team with two athletes.

In addition, Siena's Anna Revette was named the 2004 New York Lottery Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's soccer.
