Canisius College Director of Athletics Bill Maher announced two changes to the school's athletic staff today, effective immediately.

Maher announced that Judi Caserta has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations and Matt Reitnour has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Communications.

In her new role, Caserta, who is entering her 24th year on the College's athletic department staff, will continue to oversee all of the business operations for the department, and she will also assume oversight of the women's rowing program. She is responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the athletic department, including overseeing the individual budgets of the 17 Golden Griffin athletic teams, monitoring travel and recruiting expenses, providing compensation for officials and coordinates the annual NCAA financial audit and the College's Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) data submission.

Caserta graduated from Canisius in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in accounting and has over 30 years of accounting, organizational and management experience. She also received her master of science in sport administration in 2008 from the College. In addition to her duties at Canisius, she currently sits on the NCAA Intercollegiate Athletics Financial Reporting Advisor Committee.

Reitnour will continue to oversee all aspects of the athletic communications department, including the official athletics website, GoGriffs.com. Additionally, he will be responsible for all broadcast platforms, will be in charge of all external web and multimedia efforts, video production and advancing the social media efforts for the individual teams and athletic department as a whole. He will also continue to serve as the primary media contact for the school's men's basketball, softball and golf programs.

A 2001 graduate of Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Reitnour joined the Canisius athletic staff in August 2001 as a graduate assistant while working on his master's degree in sport administration, which he received in 2004. Entering his sixth year as the director of the College's athletic communications department, he is a member of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA). He is currently a member of the CoSIDA University Division Management Advisory Committee and also serves on the ECAC-SIDA's Rookie Committee.
