2017 MAAC Softball Championship Final Rescheduled for Sunday, May 14

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – The 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Softball Championship final between No. 5 Monmouth University and No. 6 Fairfield University has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m. due to inclement weather conditions. The Championship final takes place at the Donald E. Walsh Field on the campus of Iona College and can be streamed live on ESPN3.

The 2017 MAAC Softball Championship is a double elimination style tournament. If the team coming out of the losers' bracket defeats the team in the winners' bracket, the if necessary game is slated to begin approximately 20 minutes after the completion of the previous game.

The winner of the 2017 MAAC Softball Championship earns the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Championship. The NCAA Softball Selection Show is on Sunday, May 14 on ESPN2 at 10:00 p.m.
