Quinnipiac's Kelly & Marist's Witczak Earn All-ECAC Women's Lacrosse Honors

DANBURY, CT – Quinnipiac University junior defender Kiera Kelly and Marist College senior goalkeeper Abigail Witczak have earned All-ECAC Women's Lacrosse Honors, announced by the organization on Tuesday. Kelly was tabbed to the All-ECAC First Team and Witczak was named to the All-ECAC Second Team.

For the second consecutive season, Kelly received All-MAAC First Team recognition. The junior started all 17 games this season for the Bobcats. She registered 55 ground balls, 40 caused turnovers, and 16 draw controls. She led the league in caused turnovers per game (2.35), second in total caused turnovers, second in ground balls per game (3.24), and third in total ground balls.

Marist's Witczak claimed the 2017 MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year award and was named to the All-MAAC First Team. She had a league-best .498 save percentage was atop the league in saves (200) and saves per game (11.11). She has the third-best goals against average in the conference (11.19) and the seventh-most ground balls (43). Witczak was a three-time MAAC Defensive Player of the Week (March 27, April 10, April 24).
