Offensive Player of the Week
Ignacio Maganto, Iona College

Maganto had both goals for the Gaels' in the squad's 2-1 win over Marist this past week. In the 26th minute, Maganto took a pass from teammate Franklin Catellanos and chipped it over the MArist goalkeeper from 15 yards out to put the Gaels ahead 1-0. In the 34th minute, Maganto scored his second tally which turned out to the game winner on a shot that found the low corner of the net.
Defensive Player of the Week
George Ellis, Manhattan College
Jr., Goalkeeper, 6-4, Guilford, England/Charterhouse School
Ellis was a mainstay in the Jaspers two road victories this past weekend. On Sunday, Ellis made four saves while allowing one goal in Manhattan's 2-1 win over Canisius. The victory was sealed when Ellis made a diving save on a penalty kick in the 88th minute to help snap a 43 match winless streak for the program. The Quinnipiac transfer then notched his first shutout in a Manhattan uniform on Sunday, making 10 saves in a 1-0 win at Niagara. This season he has recorded a 1.59 Goals Against Average and a .773 save percentage in net.
Rookie of the Week
Jack Binks, Siena
Fr., Goalkeeper, 6-1, 193, Darlington, England/Hurworth School
Binks was sensational in goal last weekend, limiting the MAAC's top two teams Iona and Fairfield to just a single goal in over 190 minutes of action. Binks posted a 0.47 goals against average in two games and had a 75% save percentage. Against the 16th ranked Gaels Sunday, Binks made two saves to earn his third clean sheet of the season while leading the Saints to their second win over a top-25 opponent this season.
