Defensive Player of the Week

George Ellis, Manhattan College

Jr., Goalkeeper, 6-4, Guilford, England/Charterhouse School

Ellis was a mainstay in the Jaspers two road victories this past weekend. On Sunday, Ellis made four saves while allowing one goal in Manhattan's 2-1 win over Canisius. The victory was sealed when Ellis made a diving save on a penalty kick in the 88th minute to help snap a 43 match winless streak for the program. The Quinnipiac transfer then notched his first shutout in a Manhattan uniform on Sunday, making 10 saves in a 1-0 win at Niagara. This season he has recorded a 1.59 Goals Against Average and a .773 save percentage in net.

Rookie of the Week

Jack Binks, Siena

Fr., Goalkeeper, 6-1, 193, Darlington, England/Hurworth School

Binks was sensational in goal last weekend, limiting the MAAC's top two teams Iona and Fairfield to just a single goal in over 190 minutes of action. Binks posted a 0.47 goals against average in two games and had a 75% save percentage.
