In just his second season as the Montclair head boy's volleyball coach, his team qualified for the state tournament. Brown also served as the junior varsity boy's volleyball head coach and assistant girls volleyball coach in 2009 and 2010. In 2005, he was a founding member of the high school's boy's volleyball team. Brown helped lead the Mounties to an above .500 record and a state tournament appearance during his career.
Brown is also a head club volleyball coach at DIGS- one of the top girls' volleyball clubs in the state of New Jersey. During his four years at DIGS, he has coached the club's 16-white, 15 blue and white and the "Little Spikes" 12 and under teams
This past winter Brown had the honor of playing for Team USA in the Pan American Maccabi games, where he started as outside hitter and helped lead the team to a five-set victory against host Brazil to win the gold. An avid beach volleyball player, Brown regularly participates in Great American Volleyball and East End Beach Volleyball tournaments.
A May 2011 graduate of Ramapo College, Brown received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts with a concentration in Digital Filmmaking. He was recruited to play for the college's Division III men's volleyball team and finished his senior season amassing 196 kills and 100 digs.
Brown is currently USA Volleyball CAP level I certified. He resides in Montclair, NJ.
