Edison, NJ - Rider University's Anthony Dentino was named the MAAC Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week, while teammate Megan Elgin earned the award on the women's side.

At the Fordham Fiasco in Van Cortlandt State Park, Dentino placed third, covering the 5.0 mile course in 26:18. He got off to a great start and stayed with the leaders for most of the way. The race featured 43 Division I runners.

Elgin finished sixth, covering the 3.1 mile Van Cortlandt course in 19:24. She was sixth among 40 division I runners and helped the Rider women place second of four Division I teams.

The 2012 MAAC Cross Country Championships will be held at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. on Saturday, October 27.
