Offensive Player of the Week

Stephan Brossard, Marist College
Sr., F, 5-11, 155, Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber

The senior striker had a breakout week for the Red Foxes as he registered seven points in two games at the Radford Invitational. After dealing with injuries the first few weeks of the season, Brossard came out with a purpose versus Radford on Friday, as he scored both of the Red Foxes goals, including the game-tying tally in the 62nd minute. He concluded his weekend with a goal and an assist for Marist versus UNC Asheville in the Red Foxes' victory. For the week, he finished with three goals and an assist.

Defensive Player of the Week

Brett Petricek, Niagara University
Sr., GK, 6-1, Woodridge, Ill./Mercer University

Petricek recorded his third straight shutout this past weekend, helping the Purple Eagles extend its unbeaten streak to seven games. In Niagara's 3-0 victory over Wright State on Friday, Sept. 14, Petricek made five saves in 82 minutes of play to see his overall goals-against average drop to 0.66. He currently owns a .891 save percentage.

Rookie of the Week

Simon Laugsand, Marist College
Fr., M, 6-2, 185, Sortland, Norway/Sortland

Laugsand continued elevating his level of play to begin his collegiate career as he had a three-point performance versus UNC Asheville. A defensive midfielder, he showed himself to be an asset on the offensive side of the ball as he first setup a Brossard goal in the 15th minute before registering a goal off of a leaping header from the middle of the box in the 31st minute. Both the assist and goal were the first of his young career.
