Edison, NJ - Marist College's David Marthy was named the MAAC Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week, while teammate Nicki Nesi earned the award on the women's side.
At the CCSU Mini Meet at Stanley Quarter Park, Marthy led Marist College by placing 30th overall in a time of 16:20.61, a personal best for him at 5,000 meters. Marthy helped the Red Foxes to an eighth place finish.
Nesi finished 41st overall and completed the 3,000 meter course in a personal best time of 11:10.11. She was Marist's top finisher at the CCSU Mini Meet at Stanley Quarter Park. Marist finished 10th out of a 14-team field.
The 2012 MAAC Cross Country Championships will be held at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. on Saturday, October 27.
