Player of the Week
Samantha Good, Canisius, Sr., Middle Hitter, 5-10, Rochester, N.Y./Greece-Arcadia
Good had the most productive weekend of her career by averaging 4.71 kills per set and 1.57 blocks per set to go along with a .609 attack percentage and six service aces in two Canisius victories. The senior middle hitter had a season-high 20 kills with a .571 attack percentage, five blocks and three service aces in the four-set win over Manhattan. Good then posted 13 kills on 18 attack attempts with six blocks and three service aces in the sweep of Saint Peter's. The Rochester, N.Y. native had a .667 attack percentage in the sweep, the best by any player in the conference this season.
Libero of the Week
Kara Reis, Fairfield, Sr., Libero, 5-9, Ramona, Calif./Poway
Senior libero Kara Reis averaged 7.17 digs per set while adding seven assists to help Fairfield to a pair of 3-0 victories and extend their winning streak to six matches. In the 3-0 victory over Rider University on November 3, Reis posted 25 digs, a perfect reception percentage, and three assists. In the Stags' 3-0 victory over Loyola the following day, she had 18 digs and four assists.
Rookie of the Week
Meghann Wright, Siena, RS Fr., Outside Hitter, 5-10, Hiram, Ohio/Berkshire
Wright continued her hot play on the opposite side with a big double-double as Siena spoiled Marist's Senior Day with its ninth win in the last 10 matches. Wright killed half of her 22 attacks, while adding 12 digs and two blocks. With Siena leading 18-17 in the decisive fourth set, Wright served the Saints to two key points - the second a service ace that pushed the lead to 20-17.
