BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland women's soccer team will play at No. 3 seed Duke in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Women's Soccer College Cup on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Koskinen Stadium in Durham, N.C. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
"We're thrilled to be in the NCAA Tournament and we're looking forward to heading south," head coach Katherine Vettori said. "It's a special situation for me to be able to go back and play at my alma mater. We look forward to playing a great team that was in the national championship game last year and at such a beautiful facility."
The match-up with the Blue Devils (12-5-2) will be the first time the two programs have faced in women's soccer.
The Greyhounds (12-5-4, 6-2-1 MAAC) won the MAAC Championship on November 4 with a 2-1 victory over top-seeded Marist to earn their eighth bid to the College Cup and first since 2009.
The winner of the match-up will advance to the second round and face the winner of the Miami (OH) at Tennessee contest.
