The 2012 MAAC Men's and Women's Basketball Preseason Awards Shows will take place on Friday, Nov. 9, live on ESPN3.
The MAAC Women's Basketball Preseason Awards Show is set to begin at 5:15 p.m. on ESPN3 at the McCann Arena, home of the Marist College women's basketball team and the defending MAAC champion. Ed Cohen and Julianne Viani will announce the results of the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll along with the 2012 MAAC Women's Basketball Preseason Player of the Year. Following the conclusion of the awards show, fans can watch the Red Foxes' 2012-13 season opener against the University of Vermont, slated for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
At 8:15 p.m., also on ESPN3, the MAAC Men's Basketball Preseason Awards Show will start at the Hynes Athletics Center, home of the Iona College men's basketball team, who earned the MAAC's first at-large bid to the NCAA Championship in 17 years. Doug Sherman and Rob Kennedy, announcers for the MAAC men's basketball broadcasts throughout the season, will share the results of the MAAC Coaches' Preseason Poll as well as the 2012 MAAC Men's Basketball Preseason Player of Year. At 9 p.m., fans can stay logged on to ESPN3 and see the Gaels in their 2012-13 season opener against the University of Denver.
