Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - A total of 82 athletes comprise the 2012 MAAC Men's Soccer All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Iona College led all schools with 17 members named to the team. Niagara University added 12 student-athletes, while Siena College had 10 student-athletes. Canisius College and Loyola University Maryland both had nine athletes named to the team. Rider University added eight members, while seven student-athletes from Manhattan College were included on the team. Saint Peter's University had four representatives, while Fairfield University and Marist College rounded out the team with three athletes apiece.
