Edison, N.J. - Paul DeCurtis has been named the volleyball officials assignor for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, announced Commissioner Richard J. Ensor, Esq.

"The MAAC is fortunate to be able to retain the services of one of the region's top volleyball officiating experts in Paul DeCurtis," notes Commissioner Richard J. Ensor, Esq.  "I expect that the MAAC student-athletes and coaches will benefit greatly from his plans to improve volleyball officiating in the league."

DeCurtis' term as assignor will begin immediately, and will continue through the 2015 season.  His duties will include assignment of officials for all MAAC volleyball contests and all home contests of MAAC institutions, as well as all post-season MAAC Volleyball Championship contests.  DeCurtis will also coordinate recruitment and evaluation of conference volleyball officials.

"It is an honor to be selected as the assignor for MAAC women's volleyball," DeCurtis noted to the MAAC. "I can't wait to work with officials, administrators, and coaches this upcoming season."

DeCurtis has served as assignor for several MAAC institutions in recent years; his appointment as conference volleyball assignor is the first for the league.
