Player of the week
Leanne Ockenden, Marist, Junior, Guard, 5-10, Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy
Ockenden led Marist to its first road win of the season, a 62-50 victory at Yale, scoring a game-high 14 points. She was very efficient on the offensive end, shooting 70% from the floor while tying a career-high with seven made field goals. She was even more proficient on defense, setting a new personal best with five steals while grabbing a season high seven rebounds. Ockenden scored six of Marist's finals 11 points in the first half to propel the Red Foxes into the lead and give them momentum for the rest of the game.

Joy Adams Iona, Freshman, Forward, 5-11 Orlando, FL / Evans
Freshman forward Joy Adams posted her third consecutive double-double in the Gaels' convincing victory over Colgate Friday afternoon. In the contest, Adams connected on five field goals, finishing with 10 points, to go along with 12 rebounds and three steals. Overall this season, Adams is averaging 11.6 pts and 10.2 in 10 games for the Maroon & Gold.
