Brown and Johnson Earn Indoor Track & Field Performer of the Week Accolades

Edison, NJ - Rider University's Steven Brown and Saint Peter's University's Jamelia Johnson were named the Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Performers of the Week.

Brown, a 5-8 junior from Penns Grove, New Jersey, won both the long jump (7.12 m) and triple jump (14.78 m) at the Monmouth Invitational. Both of his marks qualified him for the IC4As.

Johnson, a 5-8 sophomore from Nutley, New Jersey, paced the Peacoks at the Cromwell Open Meet at Westpoint this past weekend. She took home two first place finishes in the long jump and the 60 meters, with marks of 5.47 and 7.84 meters. Johnson also placed second in the 200 meters, finishing with a time of 25.17.

The MAAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held on Friday, February 15th at The Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.
