Player of the Week

MyNeshia McKenzie, Rider, Junior, F, 5-11, Springfield, Pa./Springfield (Delco)

McKenzie averaged 20.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 5 steals in Rider's two games last week, a one-point loss to Canisius and an overtime win at Loyola. Against the 'Hounds, McKenzie scored 19 points and was 13-14 from the free throw line as Rider rallied from 16 down with less than six minutes left in the game to force overtime. McKenzie also had six steals. She scored 22 points in Rider's 51-50 loss to Canisius and added 13 rebounds, four steals and two assists. McKenzie averaged 37.5 minutes per game for the week.

Rookie of the Week

Joy Adams, Iona, Freshman, Forward, 5-11, Orlando, FL / Evans

Adams averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two contests this week for the Gaels, connecting on 50% (14-for-28) of her shot attempts.  Against Manhattan, Adams posted a season high 23 points on 10-for-18 shooting and pulled down a game high nine rebounds, including five on the offensive glass.  Against Marist, Adams scored 12 points, had one block and grabbed six rebounds.
